The launcher was rewritten in 2020 and will use primarily a fake Java Native Interface to communicate with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. The 32bit Launcher was ported to arm64, x86_64 just after its release on the Google Play Store.
AppImageP
Prebuilt AppImage binary's for Linux x86_64, x86, armv7 hardfloat and armv8 are currently available here. After downloading simply open terminal, chmod +x Minecraft_Bedrock_Launcher-x86_64.0.0.661.AppImage and run it. With certain Filemanagers you should be able to run it with double click like running an *.exe file on Windows. Otherwise run it from a Terminal ./Minecraft_Bedrock_Launcher-x86_64.0.0.661.AppImage
If this is the first time installing an AppImage and you'd like an Icon in your startmenu
Install AppImageLauncher. Run the AppImage like before. AppImageLauncher will ask for you to integrate it. this is what awesome looks like yes to continue.

You can also install mcpelauncher for Linux via Flathub. First, install Flatpak and then start it.
